DMV Guide

Welcome to our DMV Guide. On these pages you will find everything you need to conduct DMV business―in the most streamlined manner. We've compiled all the facts and forms, so all you need to do is follow our step-by-step instructions. Before long, you'll be your very own DMV expert.
Choose Your State

Our guide is sorted by state, and by major categories that are of most interest to drivers. Our team has scoured the state official sites in order to glean the details of how to take care of all your DMV business transactions.

Your first stop could be our driver's license and ID card section where you will find all the specifics (by state) on the steps needed to get those documents. We include forms, access to driver's manuals, and much more. And, we even set up a separate section for first-time drivers.

If you need to find out about titling and registering your vehicle, we've got that covered as well. We take you through the steps of each procedure, so you can get your car street legal and back on the road in record time.

When you just move into a new state there's a lot of paperwork to process, so we included all that information in its very own section. Of course, being new, you may not know how to find the DMV offices nearest your new home, so we provide a section on locations and hours―just to help you out.

Passenger cars are not the only vehicles on the road, and because of that, DMV.ORG has also developed unique sections for those who ride motorcycles and commercial vehicles.

For those in the auto industry, we also have information for dealers and car sales people; they can easily access and review the regulations that so affect their livelihood.

Regardless of whether you are a new resident, a new driver, or an old road warrior, all drivers should strive to help keep travel on our roadways safe. That's why we also have a section especially dedicated to safety and statistics.

And, for those topics that don't fit in easily anywhere else, we have created our own special catch-all section, the classic―other DMV information category.

We've got a lot to share. Enjoy browsing through the pages of the DMV.ORG DMV Guide.
