Gift Ideas for Gadget Lovers

Vehicle gadgets. They are everywhere these days, from built-in entertainment systems and key fobs that remotely start your vehicle, to parking assist systems and backup cameras that eliminate dangerous blind spots. If you're looking for a gift for that gadget lover in your life, or if you're creating a wish list for yourself, you don't have to go with a totally new vehicle to get all the bells and whistles. In fact, there are lots of extras that you can buy separately.

One caveat: Be sure your homeowner's or renter's insurance covers the aftermarket accessories, and that your car insurance covers the built-ins if stolen or damaged in an accident. Otherwise, your gadget could be more trouble than gift. Many of these gadgets come with hefty repair costs. Installation prices are dropping, but repair and replacement prices are not.
